Cactus Spiked

Mono image of a cactus made in the greenhouse at Cannington Walled Gardens using a Sony Alpha 77.

Yet another image from the Cannington Walled Gardens set - scraping the barrel a bit now, I think.

About Me

My photo
David
I'm a fifty-something male with a wife and son, living in the South-West of England. I consider myself to be an amateur photographer - an enthusiast if you like. I earn my living doing other things. I've been reasonably serious about photography since 2005 or thereabouts, when I decided that I wanted to be a landscape photographer. I was disabused of that notion within a couple of years and now I mostly make still life and portrait images - with the odd landscape thrown in. I've been training in Shotokan Karate for more years than I care to remember. I hold Nidan with the JKA. I train a couple of times a week at the local club, which as anyone who's done any of this will know, isn't enough to make progress - or maintain, for that matter. I'm currently in a bit of a motivational dip which has been going on for ten years or so.
