Back to Black and White

Mono image of a flower made at Clevedon Court using a Sony Alpha 77.

I've been making monochrome images this summer, its just that none of them have made the grade for this blog. Anyway, I'm happy enough with this one, which came from the Clevedon Court set.

About Me

David: I'm a fifty-something male with a wife and son, living in the South-West of England. I consider myself to be an amateur photographer - an enthusiast if you like. I earn my living doing other things. I've been reasonably serious about photography since 2005 or thereabouts, when I decided that I wanted to be a landscape photographer. I was disabused of that notion within a couple of years and now I mostly make still life and portrait images - with the odd landscape thrown in. I've been training in Shotokan Karate for more years than I care to remember. I hold Nidan with the JKA. I train a couple of times a week at the local club, which as anyone who's done any of this will know, isn't enough to make progress - or maintain, for that matter. I'm currently in a bit of a motivational dip which has been going on for ten years or so.
